Carlos Cid is a visual artist especially recognized for the large series of photography and video made between 2005 and 2010 as La ausencia, Temor & Amor, El vacío de la locura, Ciudad interior, Kaizen o Livfor which he received multiple awards

Carlos Cid's creative process starts from a nature that he observes with an attentive gaze, which he reconstructs and deconstructs, generating interior landscapes or abstractions with plastic, almost pictorial qualities. His artistic practice can be defined as an experimental immersion in each of the themes he approaches, from the photographic shot to experimentation with digital media or with the material formalization of his works. Carlos Cid's vision is both poetic and universalistic, he dwells on small details or large scales to make us participants of desires, fears or beliefs that we often share. Carlos Cid has shown his work in galleries and art centers in Madrid, New York, Havana, Amsterdam, Kanazawa (Japan), Helsinki, Miami, Chicago and Basel (Switzerland). He has also participated in fairs such as PHotoEspaña, Photo London, ArteSantander, Photo Miami, Scope Basel and ARCO. He currently lives and works in Madrid.
